And it feels like I am just too close to love you
Hello,
how are you all? I know none of you ever comment (I am for real crying on the inside here) so it was a much wasted question, and typing in all honesty. So in reality, I do not even know if anyone is reading this blog.
But enough about that!
So this is what has been going on in my life since I last updated, which was earlier this month if I am not mistaken. I could just go and look, but I am lazy and who care really?
Okay, so I have had my two exams. The first one was on the 17th of May (hurra for Norge liksom...), and it was on Television, society and morality. In all honesty, I thought it went quite well. I've never been so quick to start writing, but you know, it is usually the one you think went the best which turnes out to be the worse one, isn't it so. I guess we'll just have to see. I do not really remember which questions I did. One about television as a moral educator, I believe- that one was really easy. Something about the effects of television (like the effects model etc) and I think the last one was 'look at two television programs you've watched recently and use them to explain how they impose virtues such as "duty" etc on the audiance'.
After this exam I went back to the flat and made applecake for Pia and I- I feel like a right 50s housewife; wearing a nice dress and heels + my apron. It was such a good look though, I felt so much better baking dressed like that. Like I was some kind of kitchen goddess or something! And I'm still single, I just don't understand! jijijiji! Pia and I had a lovely celebration with Scouserwives, applecake with ice cream and indian dinner. It was all well lush. And we may or may not have eaten the whole cake + ice cream except for the one small piece Jack had. #Fatista much?
My terror exam was on the day after and it really wasn't that interesting. I wrote about the homo sacer, my favourite topic in terror. It is really interesting, as it is all about how people become homo sacers when they basically have lost their basic human rights. So a homo sacer back in the day would have been the witches, who were not given fair trailes etc since they had excepted the Devil into their lives and bla bla bla. Today, a homo sacer might be the prisoners at Guantanamo bay- or just prisoners of terror. They are not given a fair trail, and are just found guilty (in the States, not everywhere, of course). They have been reduced to nothing more than biological bodies as they have all their rights taken away from them and because they are treated as if they are worthless. I also argues that the countries which the U.S has declared war against were turned into homo sacers, as they [the US] do not care about how many or who gets killed in the prosess of winning the war on terror. Husbands, wives, children, brothers and sisters just become collateral damage, meaningless faces who mean nothing as long as the US get to prove their point. Like I said, I find the issues of terror really interesting, and it is so much more complicated than I first thought.
On the 19th, Pia and I went down to Fylde Bar to watch the Champions League final and boy was that tense! we ended up stressdrinking throughout the whole thing. Both of us got so involved, and I suppose it just represented how much we've come to (and this hurts to say) like Chelsea FC. We've just watched so many of their matches this season. I've watched more Chelsea matches than Liverpool, I even like more Chelsea players than I like Liverpool players at them moment, how sad isn't that? I guess what I'm trying to say is that we've invested quite a bit into them this season, we even went to see them play against Everon. So seeing them win the Champions League was amazing, especially because Torres (of course who else?) deserved it so much. I was gutted about Drogis leaving Chelsea though... Its a great loss, but now Torres can finally get the role he deserves ans has been working so hard for. I won't tell you about the massive breakdown I had on the 15th when I thought he didn't get called-up for la seleccion (there were a flood of tears though) but it turned out to be fine, and he has now joined la Seleccion and is training with them for the up-and-coming friendlies before the Euro. He is also going to the in the Euro-squad. 90% certain at this point. He won't start, that much is obvious, Llorente will probably be first choice, but I do believe that del Bosque will give him a fair chance to prove himself. These friendlies are imporant for him, I think. He might not play tomorrow, but I'm hoping that he will during the next friendly because seeing Nandolicious or Freckle-face in that La Roja shirt is my favourite, even over Nandolicious all freckly and tan on the beautiful Ibiza beaches.
Other than this, I've just been sitting outside in the sun, because we've finally got some of that. It has been seriously warm, over 25C everyday for the past week, and its great! I'm wearing my cute dresses everyday. I'm also quite tanned now (I was also seriously sunburned) which is great because I can actually wear these dresses without tights and not look like a twat, like so many of these Brits! lol The only problem of course is that no one else is finished so I'm kind of alone and terribly bored. So far I've packed 2 suitcases, one for when I'm going home in July- it is filled with clothes I no longer have use for, like winter jumpers and so on, the other is for when I go to Kyiv. Just some random clothes I don't need to wear when I'm here. I've still got plenty i my wardrobe still.
Tomorrow it's Eurovision watching, but I'm not sure where I'm watching it. I'm just going with whatever Pia decides really. I know that my flatmates are watching it here in the flat, and the Scandinavian Society are watching it at County bar. So we'll see. We were also suppose to BBQ (or Grillex as I like to call it now), but I have no money so that looks a bit grim right now. On Sunday it's Unicef Soccer Aid at Old Trafford and I'm going with Pia (WHAT A SHOCKER, NO?!) and Christina. I've never been to Old Trafford, so that will fun! After that I'll have the Emirates and Stamford Bridge left of stadiums I really want to visit here in England. Anyway, the celebrities arrive from 5:30 so that's when we aim to be there. Here is a list of the line-ups for the two teams:
England Celebs:
Assistant Manager: Peter Reid
Coach: Bradley Walsh
"International" Celebs:
Assistant Manager: Ian Rush

If you let me inside your world, there is going to be one less lonely girl
do you guys know just how demotivating it is to start working on your lit review when you've just handed in an essay which you finished off this morning? let me tell you, it is very demotivating!
On the bright side, we actually did find out our exam timetable today! Wee! And as I predicted, my two exams are pretty close to each other, which I in all honesty don't mind at all. Downer? I have an exam on the 17th of May!!! Boo!! I also have an exam on the 18th. And do you know what this means? 1) I finish before most of my friends which has never happened in the history of the world. I'm always super duper late with my exams. 2) I have around 18 days of just chilling before I go to Kiev! How amazing isn't that?
I've been chatting to Anastasia about Euro stuff since we'll be living together for the month and because we're also going to be working int he same area; hospitality. Though, I still do not know exactly what I will be doing, so there is no point of asking me! We don't even know if we'll be working inside or outside the KYI stadium! Kind of a fail, I know.
You know what's coming, surely, you must!
Yes, yes! The day finally arrived when my precious Fernando Torres got not only one, but TWO goals! I was so happy that I cried. You guys have no idea what those goals did to me, the relief I felt. After 5 months, it was finally, finally his time to shine again. Now he just needs to continue this, so that he can get into the Euro squad again!
Of course, there were other, more important things which has happened in football in the last few days. Febrice Muamba, the 23 year-old Bolton player collapsed on the pitch Saturday, when he's heart stopped beating. Thankfully, he is recovering and all sighs point in the right direction. However, it is always so scary when things like these happen. it shakes me to the core. Hopefully he'll make a full recovery.

Come on, skinny love, just last the year.
It is that time of the week or whatever, again. Finally, finally, an update from what has you be your favourite blog og all time, right? Because really, where else can you get the insightfulness from which you can get right here? No where, I say!
Today, I sit before you typing this, all dressed sexily up on my pj. Oh yeah, i know you all want to see that. It is well sexy, I tell you!
So, there had been quite a lot happening if i am to be honest with you all, which I usually am anyway. Let's start with the bad things, right? I like bad news first, then good, because it makes more sense to be to be sad then happy, rather than happy and then sad. Anyone else agree with that theory, or is it just me? Anyway, the sadest news i have to share with you involves on Fernando Torres. He didn't get called up for the National Team. I don't even know what do with myself. I may have cried a bit when I found out. It is not like it is something that wasn't expected or anything, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't hurt any less. And with this comes the fear that he might not be picked for the Euro squad, which is something I don't know if I could deal with. Hopefully, this will be exactly what he needs and from now on, he will score a hattric in every single match until May. I am worried for him. Four years ago, he was the one who scored the winning goal against Germany, and now he might not even be picked for the team... it's sad and heart breaking.
I'm also ill. I have been ill basically since I got back from Norway. It is like this on/off thing. one week I'm all good, the next I'm dead. Last week I was dead, this week, only semi so. I also have developed itchy hands, and I have no idea what it comes of. I probably will have to ask my mum.
Um, in good and better new/stuff that has happened over the last eh... 3 weeks or so(?), I have had my two lovely mates over for a visit! it was a lot of fun, and I got to intoduce them to my flatmates, the 15 hours bar crawl and the surrounding areas! As well as 'Spoons, the slightly sleesey pub/bar i spend too much time in, to be honest. They do good deals, tho, okay?! Burger, chips and a drink for only 4.10 is a bargin! So it two pitchers for 10! Not to mentions that the wine is on an alright price as well.
and of course, i went to see Ron Pope with Pia in Manchester last Wednesday! It was amazing, and brilliant! And wow, I'd love to go to another one of his concerts. He played all of my favourite songs except for 'Silly notes and Gypsy clothes'. He told jokes and I even got my picture taken with him. I look like a tool tho... so don't judge me, because I was swimming with a serious fever at the time.

After all these things I've done, I think I love you better now.
What a day it has been!
Pia and I meet up at Lancaster railway station at 10:20 to get out train from Lancs to Preston. Once we go there we had to chance for the ghetto train (also known as Northern Rail) to Liverpool Lime Street. I got to Lancs station first as I was bus'ing from campus to town, and an old man came over to me asking if I was playing a match today. I was wearing my Lancaster Uni football hoodie, you see. I told him no, and said that my mate and i were heading to Liverpool to watch the Everton v Chelsea match. He told me to say hello to Liverpool from him (he was from there) and that I should enjoy the match, even though he himself was a Liverpool supporter. I smiled at him and told him with a smile that so was I. It was nice. It reminded me why I like England. On the train to Liverpool, we got stuck sitting next to a large group of drunken lads who were going to watch an away Preston match. Mind you that this was what, 11 o'clock or something? How can people even start drinking at 10/11?! I could never (unless there is a 15 hour bar crawl!). As the train ride went on, the lads realised that their match had been cancelled and spent the next hour debating which match they should go to instead. I think they ended up with Chelsea v Everton, too. We go the bus to the Everton grounds, which was fairly simple. It’s good that you can just take a bus, instead of having to pay like 10 quid for like a taxi or something. While we were waiting for the bus to arrive, so group of six Spanish lads showed up, wearing matching neon yellow hoodies and weird sunglasses with a flamenco on. To say that Pia and I got mildly excited would not be lying.
We got to the grounds quite early, and we got to see some of the Everton players arriving, which was kind of cool. Most of them seemed really chill and relaxed, which is great! Most of them took their time to talk to the fans and sign stuff. That is how it should be, I think. There were some interesting characters, one could say! The guy in the Ferrari, for instance!
I had somehow managed to get us first row seats! How amazing isn't that? It said row three on them, but as it turned out, row three was row one! Fernando Torres was so close to me, it was the most fantastic thing. To seem him so close. And let me tell you, OMGHEISSOOOOMUCHHOTTERINREALLIFENANDOMGICAN'THELPBUTFALLINLOVEWITHHIMALLOVERAGAINBECAUSEHEISTOOFANTASTICANDBEAUTIFULANDOHMYLORDIDON'TEVENKNOWWHATTODOWITHMYSELF!!!! And Juan Mata! He is so short! i mean, I knew he was short, but still! He was too cute, too. And and Ivanovic's ass! Holy all mighty everything! Shit! I thought Torres has a big ass... Not that Pia and I were complaining, of course!
While we were waiting for the match to actually begin we had a cup of tea each and got these super awesome cups!
Pia and I also shared a football hotdog. Lol, the fun with had with that!
...and though it was a lot of fun and stuff, there were some aspects of it that left me with a sad and uncomfortable feeling. Both Pia and I felt as though the Everton fans were seriously hostile. And I'm not saying this as a Liverpool supporter, but just as a fan in general. I've been to Anfield several times and I've even been to Wembley, but the hostility that took place at the Everton grounds shocked me quite a bit. it makes me not ever want to set foot in places like Millwall for instance. And it's not to say that banter shouldn't be allowed or cursing at players/ref's etc, but because believe you me, I am no saint when my favourite players (Nando) get's fouled. However, even at Anfield, there has not been a time when I genuinely felt uncomfortable with the amount of abuse being shouted and anger behind it. I'm not saying that Liverpool are superior or anything, we have our shit to deal with as well (see the Luis Suarez case), but I have personally not experience feeling like I did when I sat there. When A. Cole for instance got tackled badly by one of the Everton players, they fans cheered as he was lying on the ground, not being able to get up. They were saying he deserved it. What is that? What if he had been seriously injured? I would never wish pain and broken bones on any players, not even Messi who I hate more than anyone. Why would I? It is simply cruel.
And then there is Fernando Torres. I know you are all sick of me talking about him, but today, my heart broke so much for him that I almost want to cry. He left Liverpool a fucking year ago, get the fuck over it. If I, who love him so much, and (let's just be honest) who cried so much when he left, can accept this fact, why the hell can't everybody else? The first thing they do when he gets the ball is boo, and the booing is just so positively powerful. I'm pretty sure he's use to it by now, but for me, that really hurts. I'm so used to just hearing it on the telly when it doesn't seem so loud, but today. Christ... What pisses me off ever more is how the Chelsea fans aren't even responding, in fact, it is almost like they are agreeing. When Newcastle played Liverpool last year just after Andy Carroll's (the ungroomed horse) transfer from Newcastle to Liverpool, the Newcastle supporters were booing him. In return, the Liverpool fans where cheering him on. Even I, who does not like him at all, stood there, cheering for him. He is playing for my team, I will not let anyone else drag him down. Why don't the Chelsea supports do this for Torres? He needs it, he needs it so desperately. Instead there was only my lonesome voice among the thousands of booing Everton supporters, screaming Torres and cheering him on. I got a few evil looks, but I just bitchfaced right back. I think Torres would have been proud of my skills. But of course, this was not the only thing they screamed at him, these supporters surrounding me... They were also chanting stuff like 'He's a girl, he's a girl, he's a girl' and of course, the one thing that really set me off; 'Look at him, that homo'. I thought I was going to go ballistic and just punch the people chanting right in their fucking mouths, shutting them up for good. There were other's as well, referring to his sexuality, but I won't put more in, because i just get so angry. I cannot stand homophobic chants, just like I cannot stand sexist or racist ones. Banter is fine, you know. I'm fine with banter, but this was not banter. At all. And he deserves better. So much better. I do not know how to explain it to you.. But I suppose you could try and imagine the person you look up to the most, someone who love for whatever reason it may be, just gets slaughtered right before your eyes, and there is nothing you can do. You just know that your one voice will not be heard. And imagine this person, just getting all this abuse, constantly, for 2 hours. It is so painful. This is the person who has gotten me through some of the shittiest times of my life by showing me that you can get through it. That these times are hard, but they will pass. He has thought me so much. Showed me that certain things are possible and he has turned me from a cynic to a romantic.
These are the times when I despise football. This is when I realise I'm too soft to actually be a supporter (or so people constantly tell me... 'Oh keisha, it's just banter. Oh that's how it is in football. Don't take it so seriously'), because I don't find these things okay. It's not, it's not, it's not!

Ryston Drenthe if I'm not mistaken. |

Pia doing her sexy pose with the footlong hotdog. Bitches wish they were as sexy and hot. |
...and though it was a lot of fun and stuff, there were some aspects of it that left me with a sad and uncomfortable feeling.

Next time i'm showing up with a poster! |

Day 06 to 18 →
Day 06: Picture of a place you've been:
At the Bernabéu; the glorious stadium of Real Madrid. It was such an epic place to visit, and I simply must go back to watch a match there when I move to Spain. I simply must must muuuust! Not sitting on the very top though!
Day 07 - Songs you listen to when you're Happy, Sad, Hyped, Bored and Mad: Happy. Hyped. Bored. Mad. Sad.
Day 08 - A picture of someone that has the biggest impact on you:
Who else? i'll come back later to why he has had such a big impact on me in this meme thing, but for now, i'm just going to say that he is an inspiration, not matter what everyone else thinks or says.
Day 09 - A fictional book: "The Perks of Being A Wallflower" - Stephen Chobosky. I read it yesterday, and it was quite amazing. 'Charlie' is a wonderful character that you can't help fall in love with. it's written cleverly and it's a book that both makes your heart ache and smile.
Day 10 - Something random: I really love sheep.
Day 11 - Another picture of you and your friends:
Picture of the flat (+ Louisa) from last year, I believe. Looks Christmasy, so I think it might have been last christmas...
Day 12 - Your views on gay marriage: I don't see what the difference is, marriage is marriage. People should love who ever they want to love.
Day 13 - Nicknames you have, and why you have them: Keisha, Quiche and The Viking. Pretty self-expainatroy i think. The viking because i'm norwegian. obviously.
Day 14 - Your favourite actor: Shia LaBeouf! Forever Shia! Omg, like, so much.
Day 15 - A good book: The Book Theif - Markus Zusak.
Day 16 - A non fictional book: Steven Gerrard: My autobiography.
Day 17 - Something that is currently over-rated: The X-Factor. Little Mix are the worst, omg.
Day 18 - Something that is currently under-rated: Garlic Bread.
and to finish it off, here is a lovely interview. If you don't fall in love, i don't understand you at all...!

It has been a year!
Can you believe it? I hardly can. Seriously. I was going through post on tumblr when a wild!bb Leo Torres popped up. Because yes, Leo Torres is a year today! So hooray for that!
But it has also been a year since I want to my first football match, and since I went to my first Liverpool match. i twas pretty awesome, though I do remember the disappointment I felt when I realised that Fernando Torres wasn't playing. I may or may not have cursed Olalla for having to give birth on that specific day. Because really, all I needed was one day. But no, and so I was never going to watch Torres play in that red Liverpool shirt. I didn't realise that at the time, i think if i had known, I would have cried my eyes out to be honest. But anyway, this post is not about Torres. It is about my first trip to Anfield- also known as the most magical place ever. Seriously, nothing can compare to it, nothing. Perhaps a match at the Bernabeu... Because Wembley didn't have half the magic.
I remember how excited I was, how nervous and just how panic-y I was when out train ended up being delayed because of "the snow"... I was seriously freaking out. And for those of you who have been so fortunate to be travelling somewhere with me when i go into a state of panic, know how fun I become. jajaja!
But we did in fact get there in semi time, I'd of course prefere to be there a lot earlier then that of course. I think we got there half an hour before? Seriously, 2 hours is perfect time for me. No stress then, and you get to watch the players do the warm-up which is almost the best thing really if I 'm to be honest. Yum yum all that bending over and streching... teasing is a better word for what they are doing. but yeah, we got there in time to sing "You'll Never Walk Alone", which is an experience that never stops giving me gooes bumps. Wow, you guys, it is just so amazing.
Um what else... OH, half-time was well fun as well! Because Ida and I had to keep warm (it was bloody freezing) and they were playing Black Eyed Peas' "dirty bit" and Ida and I just went a bit mental, doing all of these weird moves. poor Pia who had to be seen with us! Ida and I also ended up screaming out heads off when John Carew (I really really really hate the way the brits say his name... John Caruuu. And they you try and teach them the proper way and they go all like; mate, that is not how you say it. it is john caruuu. and then you go like: MATE, Norwegian in the house. its john carew, bitches. but they don't care. Well annoying. GET IT RIGHT PEOPLE!) came on as a sub during the second half. He didn't really do much, I understand why he isn't playing in the PL atm tbh. <- yes, I did just do that. What now, bitches?
Oh oh ohhhhh! Xabi Alonso was at that match! I didn't see him, i didn't even know that he was there, but he was! I has a gif, see:
and Stevie was being cute and sharing sweets or gum or whatever... wait, just looked at the gif. No no, he just looks as cold as Xabs... Well, we can all see what he is clearly thinking: oh i wish I had Xabs here to cuuddle with...
Okay, so it doesn't want let me put the gif in here... i'll just put the one where he is sharing the mint then, whatevs.
I just wish they would have been sitting together. Omg, what that would have caused for the fandom! Holy shit, you guys have no idea. It would have been magical.
Um, I think that was it really. What was worth telling anyway. So again, i'd like to wish Leo Torres a happy birthday and say, that there are no hard feelings. jajajaja!

Fernando Torres – El País Q&A
Q: What was the name of Pippi Longstocking’s horse?
A: I’ve been reading the tests [done by his teammates] hoping that someone would know the answer before me! I don’t know! Jolly Jumper was Lucky Luke’s house, and Imperioso was that of [Jesús] Gil… I know a lot about horses, but I can’t remember the name of Pippi’s horse!
Cheeky cheeky, Torres! I bet he knows a lot about horses! Though i think the prefered term is... eh... 'stallion'.

There is a new Fernando Torres book out!
From Monday November 14th, the readers will be able to buy Fernando Torres’ autobiography in Castilian. The book ‘Number Nine’ lands in Spanish bookstores with 27 chapters in which he tells us about his entire career, from the beginning at Atlético Madrid to the golden age of Liverpool to Chelsea and, of course, the two historic wins with the spanish national team at Euro 2008 and World Cup 2010.
Fernando Torres will personally present the book in Madrid om Wednesday November 16th, on his return from Costa Rica with the Spanish national team.
The book offers the reader a new perspective of the highlights of his career.
Including Atlético Madrid and the start of the life in the Premier League with Liverpool and Chelsea, the national team wins, as well as stories about how the players live, how the elite athletes use their spare time, and his foray into the world of advertising.
Fernando Torres has been writing with the support of his press chief Antonio Sanz and the director of communications at the International Bay representative agency. ‘Number Nine’ adresses all of the questions with ease and maturity, self-styled drawings from all angles and the essence of evolution in elite football. ‘Number Nine’ offers dynamic text and funny anecdotes, spiced with a generous collection of photos. The family album of the player, photos from Jose Antonio Garcia-Sirvent (official fernando9torres.com photographer), all in all valuable atrwork that supports the story in detail.
now, it seems to only be available in Spanish, but i honestly won't mind! you can buy it from the awesome fnac shop in Spain. i just love that place. the shop in Madrid is HUGE. like five floors or something. anyway, this is what i really really want. you guys know that. you know me.
