Of course not. Totally agree with you there. Totally.

Why I love international breaks and the eh, friendship that is Sergio y Nando
Then:

Now:

How uncanny.

Now:

How uncanny.

“I have lost a friend. On Sunday when I saw him at Stamford Bridge shooting against my goal I felt nostalgic. It was making me sad after the three and a half years that we spent together [at Liverpool], of the meals and dinners with his family. But when the season finishes we will join again and take a vacation. There are friendships that once they have begun they are never finished.” — Pepe Reina.

Day Five - The subject you love(d) most at school/uni and why.
Um. So i've always loved religion. Idk why. Probably because I knew people from so many different backgrounds when I was younger. Probably because I generally have an interest in cultures, societies and all that. I was tempted to do it at uni as well, but yeah. That didn't happen. I don't even know why. At uni, I really enjoyed the module I had during the Michaelmas term, Football & Society. jajajaja, I knooow. Obvious and whatever. But it was actually really interesting, and so complicated. I learned a lot 'bout hooliganism and how football reflects our society.

Day Three - The 5 most memorable things to happen to you in 2010.
That happened to me? Eh. Um. Okay. Idk if I'm actually doing this right. Oh well.
♥ I went to Anfield for the first time on the 6th of December. I didn't get to see Fernando Torres play (his wife decided to give birth during the 72nd minute. sigh, it just had to be that day... lol jk obvs.), but it was a fun match in which we won 3-nil over Aston Villa. Ida and I got really excited 'bout seeing John Carew. And as he was substituted on, we screamed out. lol. Got a few strange looks from the LFC supporters around us... And I think Pia was a bit embarrassed to be seen with us. Might also have something to do with he fact that Ida and i also decided to have a "dance off" during half-time. ~DIRTY BIT~ Yeah...
♥ Going to Thailand with Christina during out Easter break! It was fun times, and oh so nice to spend two weeks in warm weather!
♥ I finished my first year at uni in England, which was great! I still find it slightly odd to think about, you know? That I'm actually living in a different country, speaking a different language everyday. That I don't have to think twice about it. It's just weird. Idk how to put it.
♥ Embarrassing myself into the next century. Oh, the fun times of being a fresher. The fun times of two Norwegians after too many stiffns. Lol, can't believe that was a year ago. I don't even... smh...lol.
♥ Getting into football. I bet most people find it really annoying, but hey! It's given me inspiration as to what I want to do with my life, or rather what I'd like to work with, as or whatever. Besides, it's also given me a lot of mancandy to drool over during times of stress. And given me someone to look up to.

Me being frozen at Anfield before the match. We were sitting waay up in the right corner of the Main Stand, yet, we had a rather good view of everything. |

LAST ONE, I promise! There's just a lot happening today, footballwise!
(runs of to kickette y ondn_fb to double check that I didn't miss anything)
Okay. So like, Sergio Canales is obviously leaving Real Madrid this summer, which is you know, not a surprise as the boy never actually gets to play and all that jazz. But it has yet to be decided if it's only going to be a loan or if they are going to sell him. And like, he was super sweet when he spoke about it at the Fotball Draft event, where he said:
He was also awarded the Best Teammate award during this event and was named into the Golden Team. Aw. How sweet isn't that?
I mean, like, gosh! Liverpool needs to buy him. For real. They need to get younger players anyway and he, I think, would be a nice addition to the midfield, which is still not the same after Xabi left... Not to mention that I sure would make my way over to Liverpool even more often, if you catch my drift? jajaja I'm also still hoping that we're gonna buy Bojan, but yeah... heh. doubt that'll ever happen. But it does seem that he too is on his way, leaving Barcelona behind (oh what a shame. . .), though nothing will be decided before after the Champion's League final on Saturday. We'll just have to wait and see. Transfer season is going to be interesting this year, I personally think.
Anyway, I'm very interested in seeing where he [Sergio Canales] ends up, and hopefully it'll be at a club in the EPL because that would have been great, and I think he would benefit a lot from playing in it. As long as its not some shitty team like, well, lets not name any names, shall we? I'll probably end up jinxing it. Probably have already. But seriously though, I really do honest to God believe that Liverpool need to invest in some young talent instead of just players with a fuck load of experience. This way they will get something fresh into the play, they will get to shape them and yeah. It has worked for Arsenal, hasn't it? they might not have won anything this season, but they are at the top 4 of the table. Admitidly, they should have been higher up, but something just seemed to fail them at the end of the season. But whatever. Ya'll get what I mean!

It’s been a very complicated year, but there have been very many positive things. It hasn’t been a lost year, because I’ve learned a lot. My teammates helped me a lot during those moments when I played and I can tell I’ve learned a lot. I haven’t left yet. But if I leave and Madrid wants me to return, I would like to. But first I have to know what I’m going to do.”- via UnaMadridista.

Seriously? HOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS?!
The U-21 Euros are held in Denmark. In Denmark!!!!
Had I actually known this before, I could have gone and watched bb!Spain play. Well, there are still tickets, but I don't have any money. And like, I would only be able to catch the last game of the qualifiers. But still! and the tickets are seriously cheap as well. No more than 250 dkk for like a semi finals + final ticket. I mean, is this real life? And that's like the most expensive! Hmm... I wonder how like, expensive it would be to go... I'm sure I could find money somehow.
SOMEONE please tell me you want to come with me? I'll like, love you forever and ever and like, bake you the best cake ever and buy you an awesome christmas present and yeah! You can totally like, just come with me to Denmark and just I don't know, not attend the matches if that the problem? Um, seriously. Someone? Pretty pretty please?
BOJAN will be there. Bojan, people. Bojan! And and and Javi Martínez. And let me tell you, they are very sexy on the U-21 team. And on the U-20. And the U-19.
(Norway didn't qualify.)

The list is here! And I'm so excited that I just can't hide it! I wanna be dancing on the ceiling, oh what a feeling!
PORTEROS (goalkeepers): Iker Casillas, José Manuel Reina (also known as Pepe, since José usually becomes Pepe in like Spanish speaking countries), Víctor Valdés.
DEFENSAS (defenders): Álvaro Arbeloa, Raúl Albiol, Sergio Ramos, Gerard Piqué, Carlos Marchena, Joan Capdevila, Andoni Iraola.
CENTROCAMPISTAS (Midfielders): Xabi Alonso,Sergio Busquets (hope that thing doesn't get to play), Santiago Cazorla, Andrés Iniesta, Bruno Soriano, Borja Valero.
DELANTEROS (Forwards): David Villa, David Silva, Fernando Llorente (actually, a bit of triva for you: he's full name is Fernando Llorente Torres. He also wears very tight shirts. Seriously.), Fernando Torres, Pedro Rodríguez, Manu Del Moral, Álvaro Negredo.
(Doesn't the spanish words just sound sexier? Mmm. They really do. Its all in the 'r's and in the 's'.)
There are no younglings on the squad as there also will be call-ups for the Under 21 for Euro stuff but there is plenty of hot stuff to jog around!
And as a warning note: They will meet up at Ciuada del Fútbol de Las Rozaz (also known as the soccer city) on the 31th, which means that this blog will probably have a few more pictures of sexy training sessions and streching exercises from that day and 'til the national duty is over.
The team will travel to the states on the first of June and the first match will be on the 4th of June against the US at 16:41 local time. So that will probably be fun to watch. Also, what kind of time is 16:41? 41? What? I don't even...
Then the team will travel to Venezuela where they will play the second match against Venezuela on the 7th of June at 16:00 local time.
But I had no exams during these times, so hurraz! which means I can quite possibly fuck my sleep pattern up for this.

Exams getting the better of me.
Sometimes I'm so pathetic that it hurts. Getting all smiley over stuff posted on fb. I'm kinda like, seriously Keisha? Seriously? This is not the time to start crushing on someone. Nor is it the right person to be crushing on.
I'm blaming it on exams though. They do funny things with your head. True story.
And I'm terrified of going to bed because I'm afraid I'll oversleep. The last couple of days have been pure terror as I've woken up in panic, thinking that I missed my exam. I mean, what if the alarm doesn't go off (all three of them. It could happen!) or if I just sleep through it?
But like (I always say like in my head in the scouse way, idk why though.), I'm torally reminded of why I like sociology. Because I wasn't for a long time. But now I'm like, oh, thats why. And it's nice, you know? I really like the theories of Simmel, Bourdieu, and and, well not so much Weber, but Durkheim yes. And it's kinda like falling in love you know? Or maybe not. More like, realising that hey wait- oh. oh right. That makes senes. The feeling you get when you let yourself be consumed by it. Because you understand then. In that moment when you realise.
And I found this really nice quote as well. I like it, because it takes a dig at philosophy, because it sums up sociology pretty well. And yeah, it sums up what i want to do, I s'pose.
I think it's quite nice.
Sergio Canales didn't tweet me back.
I guess that beautiful Real Madrid #16 shirt never will be mine. Life is cruel sometimes, I think.
I'm also quite sad that the football season has ended. And I can't believe that I've watched my way through my first football season. There have been so many highs and lows and gaah!
It all started with a Spanish man with freckles and lovely hair. It started with a World Cup and a crying Iker Casillas. It started with Liverpool red and chants of an armband that proved he was a red.
Now it's the end though. And the end was kind of bittersweet because it ended with a Spanish man with freckles and lovely hair. It ended with Premier League matches and passion. It ended with Liverpool red and heartache as red became blue.
But I mean, it's been fun. I found my loyalties, though they have been streched and tested. I found out that red is the lovliest, but that blue can be okay, if only for now.
That white is holy.
Anything can happen really. Red can become blue. Love can quickly turn into hate. And that sometimes, you just have to push things aside, let them slide, accept the fact, no matter how much it hurts.
Yes. I do enjoy being dramatic about football.
Now though, I'm gonna listen to a few more Adele songs and read a bit more before jumping to bed and pray that I'll get up in 4 hours.

Meself and probably a few other people over at ontd_fb emailed VG and Dagbladet about the Busquets/Marcelo incident, and though they haven't replied to the email (not impressed by that) they have in fact each posted an article about it in their online newspaper. I'm glad to see that it is getting attention. UEFA now needs to take action. I mean, snoods are dealt with in all seriousness, but racism isn't? How does that make sense? Hopefully that bastard of a prick won't be playing tonight. If he does, hell is going to break lose. I know I'll hit the roof in anger.
But here's to hoping tonight's El Clasicó goes down a bit more quietly then it did a week ago.
All I can say now is:
Vamos Madrid y Siempre Real Madrid!
And let's try and forget the fact that Sergio Ramos won't be playing tonight.

Heh.
There is nothing like it.
Vi kom akkurat i tide til spillinga av "You'll Never Walk Alone" and I swear, if anything, that never fails to fill my heart with pride and it's simply impossible to explain. Det er bare noe man må oppleve. Det gir meg gåsehud hver eneste gang. There is no place like Anfield.
Vi satt rett over the place where the players enter and exit the pitch, and fuck, we were close to the pitch! Jeg hørte Pepe Reina snakke. Jeg. Hørte. Han. Snakke. Åh Hellige San Iker, er dere klar over hvor mye jeg elsker English with a Spanish accent? Hvor mye jeg elsker Pepe Reina? Ogogogoooog! Jeg.Fikk.Sett.Martin Škrtel.På.Nært.Hold.
"He shoots, he misses. He hits, he fucking misses." (dog jeg later som om jeg ikke egentlig tror de rope: "He shoots, he misses. He hits his fucking misses" for det er bare ikke kult) De er ikke så glad i han etter at han transfered during the Jan/Feb window, I s'pose... Ofc, as a reply, he got a standing ovation everytime he did anything.
He shagged a lad, he shagged a lad." So I was kinda like:
Pia og jeg er også overbevist om at vi hørte dem synge: "Steven Gerrard. Steven Gerrard." Noe som ikke gir mye mening siden Stevie er ute resten av sesongen (sigh, when will I get to see this man play?!) og siden, eh, han spiller på Liverpool. Who knows... Gorgies...
Ofc, LFC had their own chants like:
"Du du du dururu du du du dururu Luis Suarez!" (personal favourite, this is.)
and
"Maxi. Maxi Rodriguez runs up the win for me. Druru durutu duru durutu" (tune: Heartbeat fra dene derre Med Hjarte På Rette Stadan elns).
Og 'Fields Of Anfield Road' could be heard as well, samt "Dalglish. Dalglish."
Åh, for the love of San Iker og Jesús Navas. dere aner ikke.Pia og jeg bare droola all over the place. Meireles, Carra, Johnson... it was almost too much. And then they started hugging and grabbing each other. I HAVE NO WORDS. I just wish Pepe and Skittle (yes, that's my nickname for Skrtel, okay?) would do it too. Can you imagine? I might have been charged for assult or something.
And as we walked back to Lime Street (takes about 30 min or something), Pia and I happily talked about how we're going to Stamford Bridge next season and watch a match and after (and this is the best part ofc) we'll stand outside the player's entrance (oh my mind!! It's to dirty for my own good. Seems I've been slashing it up too much lately) and wait for Nando to come out (if he's still there after the transfer season. It doesn't really matter, we'll go to where ever he is, really) and I will faint and Pia will keep him from leaving so I get to have a picture taken with him and tell him that he is fucking amazing and and he'll blush and those beautiful freckles of his will stand out even more and I'll die on the inside because gosh, is there anything more adorable then a blushing Fernando Torres with a slight smile on his face?
(the answer is no, if you were wondering.)

Pepe Reina. THIS MAN!!! |

lørdag 30. april 2011
With my arms around your neck.
BULLSHIT. Hvis noen er up in your face, kan du ikke bare si: fuck off, you cunt? Eller puta madre? (det er forsåvitt min favourite swear word in Español.)
What sparked this once again?
ohmygodiola: i don’t get it i’ve called people a monkey before i’ve called people other names before too they never took it the wrong way so does that mean i’m a racist Og den som hadde reblogga det, adda: ^ This.JEG FÅR VONDT I MEG.

This. This right here... I don't even. I'm so mad right now. I just can't fucking believe that wanker of a cunt!
Woke up this morning and went on LiveJournal to check up on things when I was greeted with this post:
It's unbelievable. smh. Okay, now let is be said that I never liked this man. After all, I'm a Madridista, and he is a fucking diver. But this? This goes so far byeond silly rivalries like the El Clasicó, goes beyond football.
This man is suppose to represent a club, represent a country. People, so many people look up to him, and adore him. And this is how he repays them? After all the shit Etoo and Titi had to go through, after the fights they put up, this man has the nerve to do this? With players like Alves on his team. With all the anti-racism campaigns that FC Barcelona has done.
He is a disgrace. And he is making a mockery out of all of those who supported him, of his club, his teammates, and his country. Out of football, a game this is suppose to be beautiful, and free for all. It shouldn't matter what kind of skin colour you have, or who you love. Football is about skill and ability. Nothing else should matter except for how you preform on the pitch.
This makes me sad and angry and I hope UEFA and Barca will actually do something about this. But I can't imagine him getting anymore then a slap on the wrist though. UEFA never takes action, not any serious ones at least. They are all talk. And we have so many examples of that... In my opinion, he shouldn't be allowed to play. What he's done is severe, and it doesn't just affect that player it was directed at. It affects the fans who love the game, but now don't feel welcome. whiles I was reading the comments over at ontd_football, these was this girl who said that one of her biggest dreams was to watch a match in Spain, but she's afraid of doing so because of the racist slurs that are rather vivid within the stadium. And now, with a player from her favourite team shouting them out, how do you think she feels?
I'm gonna send an e-mail to both UEFA and Barca about this to let them know that this cannot be accepted. No way. It needs to be kicked out off the stadiums, off pitch.
